The Tirados: My First Mother's Day

I had a wonderful first Mother's Day! I got to sleep in some and D.J. made a delicious, gourmet brunch! His brother, Armando, and wife, Jayne, were in town this weekend from WA. We had a fun time together! After brunch we went to Grafton, IL, which is a cute little town with some little shops and wineries. We enjoyed the beautiful weather and got to be outside most of the day. Then, after dropping off Armando & Jayne at the airport we ate at Pei Wei for dinner and then headed home. It was a fun day! I absolutely love being a mom! Daniel is such a sweet boy and is so much fun! He is getting more vocal lately, so it's pretty funny to hear him "talking" to us. He can be pretty loud at times! He just loves our attention and smiles and laughs! He loves being kissed and tickled and laughs a lot when we do that! He loves giving us kisses, too! I'm not sure if he's "kissing" or trying to bite, but he'll put his hands on my face and pull me towards him with his mouth open wide. I just like to think of it as his way of giving us some love! Although he does have 6 teeth and I'm sure that more on on the way, so he does try to get everything in his mouth. He's much more curious lately, too. He loves looking around and grabbing whatever is in reach...even his toes! He is so much fun! And, he has been sleeping through the night (knock on wood) pretty well over the past month or so!!! Woohoo!!!

Yesterday we took Daniel to his first Cardinals game! We had a fun time with him and with Armando and Jayne! It was a perfect day! Sunny and warm, but not too hot!
