So things have been going pretty good here. Daniel is 8 months as of tomorrow! I can't believe how fast time is flying by! We are really enjoying him! He is such a fun and loving baby. He loves to interact with us, and also does well playing by himself. Lately he has been a little extra fussy, so we're working on that. I think his schedule is changing some (slowly going from 3 naps to 2 maybe), probably working on more teeth, and those sorts of things, so I'm guessing those things are making him a little extra fussy. So hopefully with time things will sort out some and he'll be a little less fussy! But overall he's still really happy and so much fun!
He army crawls all over the place. He's been doing that about 2 months and is getting pretty fast! And, he's started putting little things in his mouth, which is nice with food (puffs so far), but not so great when he finds random things on the floor. Guess I need to start cleaning the floors a little more often! He can go from laying down to sitting up (as of last week). Sometimes when I go to get him from his crib he's sitting up and crying. It's kinda funny and cute. Although it's much better when he wakes up happy! He tries to pull himself up to stand sometimes, but can't completely do it yet. And of course everything still goes straight to his mouth!
I have been enjoying making some homemade baby food. It's really pretty simple to do and is much cheaper than buying it, so that makes it worth it, too. And I'm still nursing, too, which is going good overall. Not sure if we'll continue on until he's 1 or not, we'll see.
D.J. and I have been talking about getting Daniel's first hair cut. Well, I guess it's mainly me talking about it. :) I like his curls and longer hair, but it just usually looks a little crazy and out of control, so I'm wondering if it's time. D.J.'s not quite ready, but I think is ready to give in to me. I'm still not 100% sure. Here's a recent picture of the crazy hair! Any opinions?? The back is also a little long and thin... We may try for Saturday if we decide to go through with it...

Oh man Margo! What a doll. He has more hair than Conor and almost as much as Claire (who has only had one haircut). Thanks for the update. I vote for cut but that is only because I'm not accustomed to dealing with that much hair.
ReplyDeleteYay! Glad to see you blogging! Before we get to serious with all this hair-cutting talk, I want to ask- do you mean trimming it up or hacking it off short?? I'm kind of siding with DJ but I'm also not the one having to deal with it everyday. ;-) No matter what, he will still be a doll!
